Alexis Gonzalez-Companioni, the truck driver who says he was asleep at the wheel when he plowed into vehicles on I-20, killing five people, four from the same family, is reported to have been residing in the United States illegally since early in 2021.
It is telling that our legacy media continues to lie and obfuscate the truth from the American people who deserve to have factual information regardless of whether it fits the narrative or not. I have not found one domestic news outlet that has given the background on this reported killer.
One of the obvious ways to know that a news story’s perpetrator isn’t a conservative, right-wing nutcase, is when the legacy media maintains a strict code of silence on the person’s history and ethnicity. Put a red hat on Bubba and have him break the law, no matter how small the infraction, and the media will be quick to point out how White, conservative and, if he has ever attended church, his fundamental Christian upbringing. Any other race or freakish disposition and the media doesn’t just go silent, they actively seek to hide these facts from the public.
Sadly, I had to scour sources to find a background on Mr. Companioni. The following information was obtained from CubaHeadlines:

A report in November 2020 detailed his entry into the U.S. with a Spanish passport under the ESTA visa waiver program, which permits short stays of up to 90 days. Despite declaring no intention to remain, he settled in Miami and never returned to Cuba. Cubanos por el Mundo highlighted that under U.S. immigration law (8 U.S. Code § 1182), foreign communists and those who lie for visas are inadmissible. Yet, González Companioni was operating a commercial truck in the U.S. Whether he was illegally residing in the U.S. or had adjusted his immigration status remains unclear, as does the manner in which he obtained a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
This is another instance of where our government is uninterested in what happens to the rabble they rule over. There has to be a better way for the American people to be represented than what our current two-party system affords us.
